The annual Highgate Care Awards recently took place in Leeds, celebrating outstanding achievements in the care sector with a glamorous event featuring a champagne reception, delightful meal, and lively music. Staff from across the network, dressed in their finest, gathered to honour exceptional individuals in their care teams.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Home Manager of the Year award, bestowed upon Sarah Kidd of Figham House Care Home in Beverley. Sarah received this prestigious accolade for her unparalleled dedication and leadership, described as “an all-round good egg” by residents, “dedicated” by relatives, and an inspirational figure by her team.
Joanne Fogg, Managing Director of Highgate Care, and Richard Hoggart, owner, presented the award, praising the remarkable contributions of the nominees and the winner. “The calibre of this year’s nominees was exceptionally high, making Sarah’s win a testament to her outstanding leadership and compassionate approach,” stated Joanne Fogg.
Finalists for the award included Sharon Daglish, Home Manager at The Lawns Care Home in Darlington, and Bianca Pavel, Home Manager at Maple Lodge Care Home in Catterick, both recognised for their significant contributions and dedication to their respective homes and communities.
The Highgate Care Awards ceremony was not just an occasion to recognise amazing individuals within care teams but also a wonderful opportunity for staff to come together and celebrate their collective achievements in a glittering Champagne Reception.
