At Maple Lodge Care Home, we’re all about creating moments that matter for our residents—and Halloween was the perfect excuse for some festive fun! A few weeks ago, the home was buzzing with excitement as residents got stuck into a delightful pumpkin carving session.
Pumpkin Carving Brings Smiles All Around
Guided by our wonderful Activity Coordinator, Haley, residents Annette and Brian led the charge, crafting some stunning pumpkin designs that now brighten our front display. It was hands-on from start to finish, with everyone involved scooping out pumpkin insides and carving creative faces. The result? A mix of spooky and cheerful designs that brought a real sense of achievement and joy to the group.
Building Connections Through Activities
These kinds of activities aren’t just for fun—they’re a core part of life at Maple Lodge. They help residents stay active and connected while giving them a chance to express their creativity. It’s also a lovely way to nurture a sense of community within the home, which we know is so important for everyone’s wellbeing.
A Display to Make Visitors Smile
The festive pumpkins were a hit with families and visitors, adding a cosy, autumnal charm to the home’s entrance. Seasonal moments like this remind us all of the importance of shared celebrations, not just for our residents but for their loved ones too.
