Highgate Care, known for its core value of kindness, is thrilled to establish Springfield Manor Care Home in the heart of Stoke-on-Trent. Under the leadership of Managing Director Joanne Fogg, the grand opening featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Councillor Lyn Sharpe, the Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent for 2024/25. The Lord Mayor warmly engaged with the dedicated and highly qualified team at this state-of-the-art care home, which is conveniently located near Royal Stoke University Hospital on Godwin Way, Stoke-on-Trent ST4 6JP.
Springfield Manor is a modern, purpose-built facility constructed with eco-friendly sustainable materials to reduce environmental impact. It offers person-centred care in a warm and comfortable environment, catering to older people in the area, including those living with dementia. The home promotes inclusive and compassionate care, respecting individuality and standing as a beacon of excellence in health and social care.
During her visit, the Lord Mayor discussed the critical role of delivering high-quality, compassionate care with the care team. “This is an exciting new era for health and social care services,” said Deborah Payne, Home Manager at Springfield Manor. “Springfield Manor offers the people of Stoke an opportunity to access complex care, alongside other essential services for their loved ones. Springfield Manor Care Home provides a comprehensive range of services, including residential and dementia care, nursing, and complex care. “Complex care” refers to individuals who have “behaviours of concern” due to living with progressive dementia or individuals living with a mental health diagnosis. The home will provide specific nursing care, daily living support, and case coordination for individuals with serious long-term conditions. The goal is to enhance comfort and quality of life through person-centred care designed to manage daily living to the highest possible standard for all residents.
