I’ve worked in the health and social care sector for 22 years. I started as a mental health support worker, and then worked as a manager for 17 years in various services for older people, people requiring mental health support and services for people with learning disabilities.
I’ve attained my Registered Management Accreditation and Diploma Level 5 in Health and Social Care and I am also a qualified social care trainer, training groups of staff in all aspects of social care to support their knowledge, skill and competence within the care sector.
I believe that providing and maintaining high quality and meaningful care for all of our residents is crucial to their care home experience. I am always keen to be involved in developing new ideas as well as ensuring good practice in the delivery of our services.
I am developing the Highgate Care activities programme to ensure that our residents have a full opportunity to engage with others through something they enjoy, in particular activities that relate to their past life experiences.
